Managing users and their access rights protects your financial data and ensures each employee sees only what concerns them. This is a core security step before expanding your team on the system.
Path: Settings ← Users & Companies ← Users
- Open Settings then Users & Companies ← Users.
- Click New, enter the user's Name and Email, then click Save to send the activation invite.
- Set the User Type: Internal for employees, or Portal for external customers.
- From the Access Rights tab enable the apps the user needs, such as Accounting or Sales.
- For each app pick the role/level from the dropdown (e.g. Billing, Accountant, Adviser) to set the depth of access.
- Set the permitted companies in Allowed Companies and choose the default company at login.
- For fine-grained read/write rights enable Developer Mode then use Groups and Record Rules.
- Save, and ask the user to open the invite link in their email to set a password and log in.
