Saudi VAT is 15%. Odoo supports two computation modes: tax included in the price, or tax added on top of the price.
Path: Accounting → Configuration → Taxes
- Open Accounting → Configuration → Taxes; you will find 15% output and 15% input taxes.
- To create a tax click New, enter the name and set the Amount = 15%.
- Set the appropriate output/input Tax Account/Grids.
- To control inclusive/exclusive, open Advanced Options and toggle Included in Price for inclusive tax.
- Exclusive: price 100 + 15 tax = 115 total (best for B2B invoices).
- Inclusive: total 115 contains a base of 100 + 15 tax (best for B2C POS and displayed consumer prices).
- Link the tax to products or to default sales/purchase accounts so it applies automatically.
- Verify the tax lands in the correct box of the VAT Tax Report.
