Warehouses & locations

Organizing your stock starts with creating warehouses, defining their internal locations, and setting reordering rules for minimum stock.

Path: Inventory ← Configuration ← Warehouses / Locations

1. From Inventory ← Configuration ← Warehouses click New and enter the Name and Short Name.
2. To enable multiple locations, turn on Storage Locations in Settings.
3. From Configuration ← Locations create Internal Locations (shelves/sections) under your main warehouse.
4. Set each location's Location Type (internal/transit/customer/vendor) and its Parent.
5. For minimum stock, open the product ← Reordering Rules and set Min and Max.
6. Link the reordering rule to the right warehouse/location so it triggers a purchase or manufacturing order when stock drops.
7. Use Routes (1-step / 2-step receiving) to shape the movement flow inside the warehouse.
8. Review the Overview dashboard to confirm each warehouse's operations (receipts/deliveries/internal transfers) appear.
